COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVN) --Columbus reaches out to homeless veterans Tuesday with the 2013 Stand Down at Veterans' Memorial.

Vets will have access to health and medical services, benefits counseling, personal hygiene kits--even haircuts.

It's the 19th year for the stand-down, which starts at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 1:30 p.m.

Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman plans to stop by the event Tuesday morning.

“We must continue to take action in order to help those who have fallen after serving our nation and help get them back on their feet”, Coleman says.
