CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (WTVN) -- Police in Chillicothe say they have arrested a Kentucky a man wanted for murder in that state.

Gary Lee Luttrell of Lexington, Ky., was taken into custody around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday on Madison Avenue.

"He actually walked out of the house and surrendered," said Officer Bud Lytle.

Luttrell had family ties to the Chillicothe area.

Police say his vehicle was spotted at a hotel in Warren County. He was seen on video leaving in a vehicle registered to a Chillicothe address. That led police to set up surveillance at the home.

He was wanted for the September 14 murder of Steven Brisco, 54, of Lawrenceburg, who was found shot to death in his home.

WLEX-TV in Lexington reports that on Sunday, Luttrell's wife called 911 and said she had had escaped from her husband. She was found unharmed in the Shepherdsville, Kentucky area.
