A youth basketball league ref in Georgia needed 30 stitches after receiving a beat down reportedly at the hands of “several young players (eighth graders) and other bystanders.”
It happened at Sunday’s ‘Love of the Game event held at Stronghold Christian Church.
No one’s saying what started it, but organizers say the ref is recovering from his injuries and doing well.
Cops are investigating, the team involved in the fighting has been barred from future competition, and security has been beefed up.
