Tim Ratcliff, the owner of Shin Japanese restaurant, was shocked to see a homeless man sucker punch an elderly customer sitting on the patio in front of his Hollywood restaurant.
The suspect then took the elderly man’s cellphone and wallet and started to casually walk away.
Ratcliff quickly goes after the assailant, grabs him, and wrestles him to the ground, holding him until police arrive a few minutes later.
