Mercedes-Benz has revealed a concept car in partnership with James Cameron’s new movie, “Avatar: The Way of Water,” and it’s about as futuristic as they come. The Vision AVTR can drive sideways, is operated by a “jellyfish” joystick, and has a control panel controlled by the driver’s hand gestures and breathing.
The car has no pedals or steering wheel, only a single joystick that a driver uses to accelerate, decelerate, reverse the car, and steer it left and right. The battery in the car can charge in around 15 minutes and has a range of about 430 miles; it’s not for sale, which might be good considering the prototype can only get up to 15 mph.
