A care facility in Iowa is facing a $10,000 fine after falsely pronouncing a resident dead.
The Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals issued two state violations against Glen Oaks Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Urbandale, in the Des Moines area.
A funeral home was called, and they saw no signs of life, so the resident was taken to a funeral home in a body bag and was found alive an hour later.
She died two days later at the care center with her family by her side.
