A Delaware County, Pennsylvania, pizza delivery man helped police apprehend an alleged car thief on Sunday. Cocco's Pizza delivery driver Tyler Morrell was standing on a customer’s porch delivering a pizza when he heard police pulling over a car on the road in front of the house.
The customer’s doorbell camera catches the scene when two police cars pull up behind a car. Then someone jumps out of the car and starts running away from the officers. Morrell sees the incident unfolding and as the suspect runs past him, the delivery driver puts his leg out and trips the alleged thief, allowing the police to quickly capture him.
The two teenage suspects were confirmed to have been driving a stolen car and have been arrested on multiple charges. Brookhaven Borough Police Chief Mike Vice applauded Morrell for helping them to catch the suspected thieves but says they prefer the public to not intervene. For his part, Morrell says he didn't know he’d be doing anything but making deliveries that day. Fortunately, throughout the ordeal, he didn’t drop the pizza.
