Birds are a common issue for airplanes, but at one West Virginia airport, a bear shook things up.
Passenger William Treacy and his wife were returning from Arkansas on a connecting flight into Huntington Tri-State Airport from Charlotte, but they couldn’t land.
Treacy explains “We were descending into the airport, and then all of a sudden we were ascending from the airport.
The pilot comes on and says we’re going to have to do a fly-around, there’s a bear on the runway.”
He says they finally landed after the bear moved on.
