The world's ugliest dog has been crowned.
Scooter, a Chinese Crested canine with deformed legs, won the title Friday at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in California.
The event promotes animal adoption and inspirational stories of dogs who overcame adversity.
Scooter escaped being put down and was recognized with $1,500 and a trophy. The contest promotes adopting dogs.
