Britney Spears Announces Memoir's Release Date

Britney Spears continues to make headlines when she’s not making music and this time, she’s telling her side.

The singer’s tell-all memoir, “The Woman In Me,” finally has a release date. Spears announced that her book will hit shelves on October 24th. The press release for the long-awaited project describes it as “a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope,” adding that it’ll also illuminate “the enduring power of music and love — and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms.”

Spears had been teasing the memoir since finally getting the court to terminate her 13-year conservatorship in November 2021. It was then reported in February of 2022 that Spears would receive as much as $15 million for the book.

As for new music, Britney teamed up with Elton John last summer for a reimagined version of his classic hit “Tiny Dancer” called “Hold Me Closer”. The duet marked her first new music in six years.
