TikTok Launches Text-Only Post Feature

Just hours after Elon Musk announced that Twitter was becoming X.com, TikTok decided to get into the text-based social media world by introducing text posts to its platform.

In a statement, TikTok said, “With text posts, we’re expanding the boundaries of content creation for everyone on TikTok, giving the written creativity we’ve seen in comments, captions, and videos a dedicated space to shine.”

The text post feature of TikTok lets users edit how their text appears, add music and stickers, change the background color, and gives those users a 1,000-character limit.
