As mounds of manatees wash up and splash around onshore, upset locals are calling 911 to make sure they're ok
Now, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office says, “Manatees actually mate in herds like these and often they are near the shore, adding, "So if you see this, there’s no need to call"
Meanwhile, if anyone attempts to push the manatees back into the water, they’ll be charged with harassment
