The Summit County Sheriff's Office is mourning the death of one of its deputies.
The office says 27-year-old Jacob Nees died Sunday.
The day before, Nees was involved in a single-vehicle accident near Broadway Avenue and Rockside Road. That crash is still under investigation.
Nees had just joined the Sheriff's Office two months ago after graduating from the academy.
