At a Taylor Swift concert, security guard Calvin Denker unexpectedly gained attention when he sang along to "Cruel Summer". However, his moment of fame quickly turned sour when he was dismissed from his security job for distributing notes to attendees, hoping they would photograph him with Swift in the backdrop.
"I would really appreciate it if they took a photo of me with Taylor Swift in the background just so that I can have a memory from that night," the notes said. That apparently crossed the line, as "there were some pretty strict rules about taking photos with the talent.”
Denker says that he had joined the security team to avoid buying tickets for Swift's “Eras Tour” and wasn't aware he had violated any rules. Although a dedicated Swiftie, Denker is a full-time software engineer and apparently has no interest in returning to security work anyway!
