A plane had to bust a mid-air U-turn and quickly land due to a mechanical issue that left both the crew and passengers in terror. One witness claims the flight crew was holding a cracked door shut when the American Airlines took off from and then returned to Los Angeles Friday.
The alleged passenger took to social media to say, “American Airlines had to deplane us, and my boss heard the flight attendants say that there was a crack in the door, and they had to physically hold the door closed while they turned the plane back." A spokesperson for the company says the plane landed safely before departing again hours later.
