Restaurant Owner Drives 6 Hours To Fulfill Woman’s Dying Wish

In a touching act of kindness, Kevin Cherry, the owner of Mama Kwans restaurant in Kill Devil Hills on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, drove nearly six hours to fulfill the dying wish of Heather Bowers, a woman battling terminal cancer in West Virginia. She expressed her final wish for a pork plate from her favorite vacation spot, Mama Kwans.

Mary Simmons, a friend of Bowers, reached out to the restaurant, hoping for a miracle to fulfill Bowers' last wish. To Simmons' amazement, Cherry immediately packed up the meal and embarked on the long journey to deliver it to Bowers' home, showing extraordinary compassion and dedication.

Simmons was deeply appreciative of Cherry's gesture, acknowledging on social media his genuine kindness and the profound impact his act of kindness had on Bowers and her family. Despite the emotional toll, Cherry remains humble, saying how important it was to him to be able to bring a little brightness into Bowers' final moments.
