DoorDash Driver Saves Biker’s Life After Hit-And-Run

Melbourne, Florida, DoorDash driver Billy LeBlanc is being hailed as a hero after saving the life of a motorcyclist, who was left critically injured following a hit-and-run. The accident occurred early one morning last week on U.S. 192, where LeBlanc discovered 34-year-old John Powell lying limp in the road. The delivery driver immediately called 911 and stayed on the scene until emergency responders arrived.

A couple of days later, authorities arrested a 24-year-old woman in connection with the hit-and-run. She now faces charges of leaving the scene and tampering with evidence, for attempting to remove Powell’s motorcycle from under her car before fleeing the scene. Police also released a photo showing the motorcycle still stuck under the car, confirming details of the incident.

Powell is currently recovering in the hospital after being taken out of critical care. Despite the severity of his injuries, his friends are relieved that he’s alive and is continuing to make progress. LeBlanc expressed his relief that the suspect was caught and his hope that there will eventually be justice for Powell.
