Halloween super-fan Maggie Martin has transformed an old hearse into a unique camper van for her spooky road trips.
Maggie bought the Vauxhall Carlton Eagle, affectionately named Hetty, for $1,000 on Friday the 13th of last year and has since customized it with a bed, sofa, curtains, and eerie decorations.
"I love Halloween," she shares. "People stop to take pictures, and the neighbors think it's quirky—like the Addams family on the corner."
Maggie’s unconventional camper has become a local attraction, drawing smiles and photos from curious passersby.
She explains, "Not many people bother you if you're in a hearse." Maggie sees Hetty as more than just a camper, hosting Halloween parties and even helping with visual learning for special needs groups.
For Maggie, the hearse’s previous life doesn’t faze her: "Some people ask if it bothers me that dead bodies were in there, but it really doesn’t—it’s just fun and quirky."
