Last week, an Australia couple spoke out after claiming to have been forced to sit next to a corpse for four hours on a Qatar Airways international flight.
On Friday, Qatar Airways doubled down on how their crew handled the situation, saying that, unfortunately, unexpected deaths do happen during flights, and their employees are “highly trained to deal with these situations with as much respect and dignity as possible.”
After reviewing the situation, the airline says their cabin crew “acted quickly, appropriately, and professionally at all times in line with training and industry standard practice.”
In addition, they say that passengers were moved and an airline employee remained with the deceased body at all times throughout the flight.
