Pay It Forward For Pets - Buttons

This week’s story about Buttons is similar to last week’s story about Noodle. We have found another recently birthing mother on the streets.

Dogs are pack animals, and they see their humans as family. In fact, they believe we all have fur and whiskers. When a member of their family leaves the pack, they notice the absence and mourn. This can lead to depression, and healing takes time.

Buttons has faced a double tragedy. Rescued from the streets, this lactating mother not only lost her humans but also her puppies. We can only hope that her babies are safe and have survived, as they have not been located.

Freshly post-pregnancy and approximately 5 years old, Buttons is now a mother. It is clear that her puppies did not receive the eight weeks they needed with her, and she did not have that time with them either.

Sitting in a cold, loud, and sterile shelter is foreign to Buttons. She misses her pack and longs to go home. We want to help her find a forever home that will keep her safe. Could that home be yours?
