Colorado Veteran Gets A Car And Hope For The Future

Daniel Shaub is an Air Force veteran who lives in Pueblo, Colorado and has been walking to and from work each day. But thanks to the kindness of a stranger, that’s all about to change.

Shaub was given a 1994 Mercury Cougar car with only 67,000 miles on it - and it was totally free. The car was donated to the Mt. Carmel Center of Excellence - which works with veterans, and their families - by Barbara Stevens. She’s in a senior living center now and doesn’t drive anymore, and she wanted to make a difference in her community by donating her vehicle.

And this Iraq War veteran really appreciates this new start he’s been given."This is independence,” Shaub says. “It's definitely not something to take for granted."
