American Girl Introducing Their First Boy Doll

American Girl continues to add diversity to their product line, and for the first time ever, they’ve added a boy doll to their collection.

The 2017 batch of dolls has just been revealed, and starting tomorrow that will include a male doll named Logan Everett, a drummer who plays with his singer/songwriter friend Tenney Grant in Nashville.

“Adding a boy to our lineup has been a number one request for a very, very, very long time,” Julie Parks, director of public relations at American Girl, explains, noting that parents are constantly asking for “more experiences, more diversity, more interests.”

This year will see American Girl add more new dolls to their collection than ever before. In addition to Logan and Tenney, new dolls include the “Girl of the Year” doll Gabriela McBride, which came out in January, Korean-American doll Z Yang, which is due out in April, and a historical Hawaiian doll, Nanea, which will be released in the fall.
