Chloe Bridgewater is only seven, but she’s already thinking about her future. The little girl from Hereford, England, loves computers and tablets, so when she found out Google has bean bags, slides, and go-karts in their offices, she knew that was a place she’d love to work. And she wrote to the head of the company to let him know she’s interested.
“Dear Google Boss,” she began her letter. “My name is Chloe and when I am bigger I would like a job at Google.” Among other details, the little girl also included that she wants to work at a chocolate factory and “do swimming” in the Olympics, too. And even though she has a long time to go before she can really apply, the CEO of Google took the time to respond to her handwritten note.
“I’m glad that you like computers and robots, and hope that you will continue to learn about technology,” CEO Sundar Pichai writes. “I look forward to receiving your job application when you’re finished with school.” He even included a smiley face! And getting a response from such a busy person makes Chloe want to work even harder to reach her goal to work with Google.
