Only in Florida would someone work up a scheme while pretending that they were in Nickelback. Lee Koenig tried to bilk Lewitt Audio out of $25,000-worth of high-end microphones by pretending to be Nickelback drummer Daniel Adair. A business rep for Nickelback flagged the order as suspicious, and went to Adair to ask him about the purchase…and the wheels fell off the ruse from there. Koenig’s Facebook page states that he’s a multi-platinum recording artist, but the reality is that he plays in tribute acts for Billy Idol and Aerosmith. He might have gotten away with it had he gone with a lower profile…like Ratt or Quiet Riot.
