Mom Cancels Disney Trip Over “Gay Moment” In “Beauty And The Beast”

Many people have been eagerly awaiting the release of the new “Beauty and the Beast” movie, and when they heard it was going to include an "exclusively gay moment" between characters Gaston and LeFou, some were even more excited. But some were outraged by the idea and have vowed to boycott Disney because of it - including Christian mom blogger Brooke Poston.

She’s the woman behind the “This Modest Mom” blog and she recently wrote about cancelling her family trip in a post called “Disney’s LGBT agenda forced me to cancel our Disney World Vacation.” Poston decided to boycott the theme park after hearing that the movie has a gay-friendly scene. Even though the scene has actually been reported to be “kind of a dud” and easy to miss - as in there’s nothing to it.

"I'm not paying for simple entertainment that doesn't accurately align with my personal beliefs," she writes. "Disney isn’t just aiming their efforts towards parents of Disney-aged children anymore. They are pointing a desperate finger at the innocence of our youth.”

Poston shares that she worries Disney will carry its “agenda” over to the theme parks and she says she just can’t support that. Her post has gone viral and some do agree with her, but a lot of people think her response is over the top. No matter how you feel about it, the people most affected by this are her kids and they must be completely crushed to miss their trip to Disney World. And they probably don’t care about a moment in a movie that you could miss if you blink.
