Report: Browns To Give Cody Kessler Chance To Start In 2017

Wow Brock Osweiler seems to be getting talked about more this offseason than a year ago when he signed a $72-million-dollar deal.

Only problem? This year, everyone is making a bigger deal over what an absolute bust he’s become.

And never was that more evident than his trade to Cleveland last week in which the Browns were more excited about the second round pick they got along with him.

But it gets worse—because shortly after Osweiler came in, the Browns released former No. 2 overall pick Robert Griffin III who was their starter (when he was healthy) last season.

But all that did was pave the way for second-year man Cody Kessler, who the team is apparently handing the starting reigns to as of now.

As for Osweiler, they’re trying to flip him to another team if they can find any takers and there are reports they are seeking a third rounder for him.

Although given how low Osweiler’s stock is right now, the word “taker” would have to be associated with hallucinogens.
