Next time you think you want courtside basketball seats, think again.
At least if you’re not going to pay attention like CBS announcer Verne Lundquist did before Saturday’s West Virginia-Notre Dame game at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo.
Lundquist and broadcast partner Jim Spanarkel were doing their last-minute broadcast prep when a loose ball bounced towards press row and locked in on Lundquist’s melon.
The ball had come off of the hands of West Virginia’s Tayvon Myers who quickly apologized.
But really, given we got this hilarious video, maybe we should be thanking the young man.
Oh and by the way, given his Mountaineers beat Notre Dame 83-71 in that game—maybe they need to do that every game.
Heavens knows Lundquist has the cheeks for it.
