Welcome Santa Holiday Parade November 24, 2018 Parade begins at 10:00 am
Join us at this annual family tradition downtown Akron. The parade kicks off at 10:00 am and will feature over 75 units including floats, costumed characters, dance groups and area organizations. The parade will end with Santa coming to town!
The parade will take place rain, snow or shine. The parade route starts at the corner of Main and Cedar Streets. It runs north along Main St. to West Exchange St., take a left onto Exchange, runs west along Exchange, then turns right onto West Bowery Street. Bowery eventually curves around to meet Main St., where the parade will take a right turn and head south along Main. The route will end up in front of Lock 3 at the corner of University Ave. and State St.
Santa Parade RouteParents, family and friends can line up along Bowery Street (between Exchange and Main) and Main Street (between Bowery and University) to watch the parade. Spectators should bring their own chairs or blankets to watch the parade.Following the parade, the awards ceremony will take place insides at Lock 3 along with costumed characters and holiday fun.
