The Meyers Lake YMCA has held monthly community programs over the past the year that have brought in up to 600 community members. This summer we are ready to progress into an even larger scale event: The Solstice Family Fun Fest. This event will be held on June 15th, 2019 (rain date 6/16) from 1pm-10pm on the grounds of the Meyers Lake YMCA.
The Solstice Family Fun Fest is a free community event that will attract crowds from across Stark County. The Festival will have four central components: Live Entertainment, Kids Zone, Market District, and Healthy Living Zone.
Our Live Entertainment stage will feature local band South Bound Band, Enrichment Drumline, MacConmara School of Chance, high school organizations, and other community organization performances
Our Kids Zone will feature large inflatable attractions, crafting, games, a bookmobile visit, Chuck E. Cheese and other family friendly activities
Our Market District will provide community members with an opportunity to share and sell their craft with others. This will include art, baked goods, fresh produce, jewelry and other skilled crafters
Our Akron Children’s Hospital Healthy Living zone will put YMCA exercise classes on display through short demos and provide local health organizations a platform to engage the community.
The mission of this event is to provide the community with a safe and inclusive environment to engage in affordable family fun and promote the resources available within the community.
