The Akron Walk to Defeat ALS is a national signature event for The ALS Association. The Walk brings together families and friends fighting ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease) to raise money for local patient services, bring hope to people currently fighting ALS, and raise awareness for a treatment and cure. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and the Walk starts at 10 a.m. The Walk is approximately 2 miles.
