Massillon Museum Fun Fest

MCTV, the Massillon Museum, and the Downtown Massillon Association invite families to participate in this year’s Fun Fest, which will be held on Saturday, August 10, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Fun Fest—a lively, safe, educational, and enriching experience—has entertained thousands of families in downtown Massillon for 24 years.

This year’s event will be centered on First Street SE, the Massillon Museum lawn (121 Lincoln Way East in downtown Massillon), Charles Avenue, and Duncan Plaza.

Admission to the family-focused event is free. There is no cost for most activities; some have a minimal charge. Social service agencies, civic groups, law enforcement, churches, arts organizations, and businesses will set up games, art projects, activities, and information stations. Families love the free take-away items—coloring books, pencils, balloons, banks, bookmarks, and puzzles.

Dance troupes, the Massillon Tiger Swing Band Drum Line, and the Massillon Tiger Cheerleaders will perform. Children will be invited to make superhero headbands, listen to native storytelling, create yellow emoji balls, watch puppets, get temporary tattoos, and ride the Tuslaw Lions Club train. They can compete in a push-up challenge, douse a celebrity in the dunk tank, run an obstacle course, pet farm animals, make bubble wands and jewelry, visit the Massillon Public Library bookmobile, play a life-size board game, and participate in dozens more activities.

Special attractions this year will include a Polynesian Princess and Cinderella (10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.), MCTV-costumed-character Patrick from SpongeBob Square Pants, Phil and Bertha balloon sculptures, Magic of Randy, The Silly Science Show, and Sal Vino‚ King of the Concertina. Special performances will entertain families from the Duncan Plaza stage.

Parking is free. Click HERE for more.
