Lindsay Lohan Rediscovers Herself In New Song 'Back To Me'

Lindsay Lohan finds herself again in her new song.

Lohan delivered a hot new club anthem this Friday (April 3), titled “Back to Me,” which sounds as therapeutic as it is triumphant. In her first record of the new decade, the 33-year-old sings about leaving the past behind for a shot at self-discovery, and part of that journey means not running away when the going gets tough.

“When life gets harder/ And the mind gets darker/ Remind myself, never too late/ 'Cause I know that I cut it too deep/ And I know that I wanted to leave/ So easily, we just walk away,” Lohan sings in a verse that leads to the unbeaten chorus, “My life is full of ripped up pages/ I've been weak, contagious/ But I'm coming back, I'm coming back to me.”

Announcing her comeback track on Twitter, Lohan shared that “Back to Me” is about "rediscovering and accepting oneself, shutting out the noise and moving forward and letting the past go. Living in the now."

As fans know, the Mean Girls star hasn’t released new music since dropping (then abruptly deleting) “Xanax” featuring ALMA in September. Her last single release before then was for “Bossy,” which arrive more than 10 years ago. It’s unclear whether “Back to Me” signals the advent of a long-awaited follow-up to her 2005's A Little More Personal (Raw), but only time will tell.

Until then, listen to Lindsay’s brand-new song up above.
