On February 10th, a woman reported someone in a black SUV dropping off a dog that “appeared old and unwell” on her property outside Stockton, California.
An animal service officer responded to the call and after scanning the dog’s microchip, discovered the dog, named Zoey, was reported missing in 2010.
Zoey’s owner, Michelle, had moved to a new town, but still had the same phone number, so authorities were able to contact her and last Friday, Zoey and Michelle were reunited.
