A baby in New Mexico who weighed less than three-quarters of a pound at birth and was given a 30-percent chance of survival celebrated his first birthday.
Amber Higgins was only 24 weeks into her pregnancy when her son Jari Lopez was born on January 22nd, 2021, weighing less than three-quarters of a pound.
After four months in the NICU, Jari was able to go home, and now he weighs 16 pounds and just celebrated his first birthday.
