Cavs Comeback Against Timberwolves Falls Short

The Cleveland Cavaliers nearly overcame a 23-point second-half deficit during a 127-122 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

Cleveland tied the game at 122 in the final minute of regulation after entering the final frame facing a 13-point deficit, but Karl-Anthony Towns hit a go-ahead three with 12 seconds left to put Minnesota back on top.

Cedi Osman missed a game-tying three on the ensuing possession before D'Angelo Russell iced the game with a pair of free throws.

Kevin Love scored 26 points off the bench in the loss.

The Cavs have lost four of their last four contests and have dropped to 36-and-25.

They host the Hornets tomorrow night.
