Last week, while on a driving vacation from Oklahoma to California, Kristina Mumford, her siblings, and her dad make a stop in the Arizona desert and find an abandoned puppy.
The family takes the pup, who they name Canyon, with them to La Jolla, California, where Mumford’s cousin, Ro Blackwood, agrees to foster the dog.
Blackwood sets up a Facebook page to tell Canyon’s story and to possibly find him a new home, although they haven’t ruled out keeping the pup.
