On Sunday morning, in Rogersville, Alabama, Police Officer Tyler Dison was finishing up his overnight shift when he heard a call about an apartment fire with a child trapped inside.
Dison, a former firefighter, rushed to the scene, ran into the burning building, and rescued the three-year-old boy, who was taken to a nearby hospital where he made a full recovery.
Dison sustained some minor injuries and his uniform was singed from the fire, but he was only concerned for the baby and says the incident is exactly what he signed up for: to save lives.
