Major League Baseball owners and players on Thursday approved terms of a new collective bargaining agreement ending what had been a 99-day lockout.

Games already struck from the schedule will be made up as doubleheaders or rescheduled to off-days.

Spring training for players will begin this weekend and the Guardians are now scheduled to open the season on April 8th on the road versus the Royals.
