The Cleveland Browns are responding to the controversy regarding the team's latest high-profile acquisition.
On Sunday, the club confirmed that they have acquired quarterback Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans with reports saying that Watson will be paid 230-million dollars in a 5-year contract.
Twenty-two women have made accusations of harassment and sexual assault against Watson and, while a grand jury has chosen not to indict, civil cases remain pending.
A statement released yesterday by team owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam said, in part, that they are confident in Watson and excited about moving forward with him as the team's quarterback.
