Thirty-six years after the OG "Top Gun," the trailer for the upcoming "Maverick," set to hit theaters on May 27 is here.
In the clip, we see Rear Admiral, played by Ed Harris, tell Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, played by Tom Cruise, "Thirty plus years of service, combat medals, citations, only man to shoot down three enemy planes in the last forty years. Yet you can't get a promotion, you won't retire and despite your best efforts, you refuse to die. You should at least be a two-star admiral by now, yet here you are. Captain. Why is that? Maverick simply responds, "It's one of life's mysteries, sir."
