A Waste Pro worker in Caruthersville, Missouri, is being recognized for rescuing an elderly woman with dementia.
Early on January 20th, with temperatures in the teens, Macario Chism found and rescued 82-year-old Thelma Bates, who had gone missing in the middle of the night.
At a recent small ceremony at Caruthersville City Hall, Chism was thanked by Bates and her family and was awarded $408 for his kind act.
