Metallica is donating half-a-million dollars to help Ukrainian refugees.
The money will go toward World Central Kitchen, an organization providing meals to millions of Ukrainians forced to leave their homes as the Russian invasion escalates.
Drummer Lars Ulrich said in a statement that the band is proud to support cooks on the frontlines of this humanitarian crisis.
The band will also double all donations to their All Within My Hands Foundation to reach a goal of one million dollars.
