#GoodNews: Teen Raises $77K For Hometown’s Veterans Memorial

About two years ago, Dominique Claseman was considering ideas for his Eagle Scout project and decided that he would build a veteran’s memorial for his hometown of Olivia, Minnesota.

He started spreading the word, went door-to-door to local businesses to drum up support, and soon had raised more than $ 75,000 for the project.

Then he and a crew of volunteers put the plans in motion, constructing the memorial, and on Memorial Day they had a dedication ceremony with several hundred people in attendance.
