The N-F-L is choosing former New Jersey Attorney General Peter C. Harvey to hear the appeal of the six-game suspension for Deshaun Watson.
That punishment was handed down by a retired federal judge, but reports say the league is seeking a tougher penalty under its personal conduct policy.
Harvey has served as a federal prosecutor and is a member of the NFL's diversity advisory committee.
Watson has been accused of sexual misconduct by more than 20 women during massage sessions.
