Police Officer Bill Beaudette was patrolling St Paul, Minnesota, when he spotted smoke and followed it to a home where he learned young children were still inside.
Rather than wait for firefighters, Beaudette busted down the back door to the home and got four young girls, ages four- to seven years old, out of the home to safety.
Deputy St Paul Fire Chief Ken Adams called Beaudette a hero and says his actions very likely saved those little girls’ lives.
