"South Park" creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker say they developed an entire movie featuring a deepfake Donald Trump.
A deep fake is a video of a person who has been digitally altered to look like someone else.
The duo told the Los Angeles Times they were prepping to make the film right when COVID-19 lockdowns swept across the country, completely stopping any production.
Stone and Parker released a few videos on YouTube featuring their deepfake Trump, but the rest of the film remains on hold.
The "South Park" creators said the project was "very timely and the timeliness of it has passed."
