Mom Reunites With Her Three Kids After A Year In The Hospital With COVID

In early August 2021, 34-year-old Texas mother of three Jazmin Kirkland tested positive for COVID and went to the emergency room because she was having trouble breathing.

She would spend most of the next year in the hospital where she was in a medically induced coma for three months, on an ECMO machine for six, and on a ventilator for 11 months.

After more than a year of intensive care in a touch-and-go battle with COVID, Jazmin was finally well enough to be able to go home to her family and is expected to fully recover.
