Uvalde Survivor Throws First Pitch At Astros Game & Is Getting New Home

While in the hospital after being shot multiple times in the Uvalde school shooting, Mayah Zamora learned the gunman lived blocks from her house and she didn’t want to return there.

MLB All-Star shortstop Carlos Correa heard about everything that Mayah has been through and put his nonprofit the Correa Family Foundation to work to help her.

After Mayah threw out the first pitch at an Astros / Twins game, it was announced that donors were going to build Mayah’s family a new house in a location where she’d be comfortable.
