"Dr. Phil" is ending its run on daytime TV after 21 seasons.

Dr. Phil McGraw has decided to end the show at the close of its current season this spring.

The show airs Monday through Friday and averages roughly two million viewers per episode, making it CBS's highest-rated daytime talk show.

When announcing the decision, Dr. Phil told fans he's been "blessed" to work on the show for over 25 years, helping "thousands of guests and millions of viewers" with their problems.

He promised that even though he's moving on from daytime television, there is still a lot he wants to do.
