President Biden says public safety depends on trust, but some members of law enforcement have been violating that trust.

Tyre Nichols' parents joined Tuesday night's State of the Union speech. Biden acknowledged the worries Black and Brown parents have, about teaching their kids how to act in front of police officers.

He said Tyre's mom hopes something positive will come from his death.

The President noted that he thinks most cops are good, but law enforcement overall needs proper training to do their highly stressful jobs.
